The inspiration came from an episode of HGTV Fixer Upper with Chip and Jojo. During one of the episodes they created a rustic basketball goal and I knew this was the missing piece to the sports themed bedroom.
After a couple days of working, I finally completed the last detail of the bedroom!

The first step is gathering the materials:
- 1 to 2 pallets (Boards broke trying to get them off the first pallet, so I needed 2)
- Wood glue
- Basketball Rim (This one was perfect from Amazon)
- Finishing Nails
- Wall Hangers
Once you have all the materials, you can start by getting the boards off the pallet. Then, you will determine how big or small you want the backboard.
After you have it all cut and layed out, you can start glueing the boards together and adding two boards on the backside to help secure the backboard and attach the wall hangers to. Completely let that dry and then you are all ready to attach the basketball rim.

Once, you have attached the rim you are ready to hang up. I suggest using wall anchors because the goal is heavy.
I loved how the project turned out and not to mention I have a happy boy who can lay in bed and shoot basketball!
Happy Building!
